We are excited to announce that Major League Hacking and .Tech Domains are partnering to lower barriers of entry into computer science. Major League Hacking (MLH) is the global hacker community with the mission of empowering all aspiring developers and code-enthusiasts, amassing over 100,000 hackers worldwide. .Tech Domains is the domain extension for the tech ecosystem. .Tech Domains is known for not only being a definitive domain for all things tech, but also for their #MyStartInTech campaign, an initiative to donate 100% of sales proceeds to promote equality in Computer Science education.

The MLH Fellowship, also proudly sponsored by .Tech Domains, is a 12-week technical training program that gives early-career technologists hands-on experience with real-world projects that help them build their skills and land a job or internship.

Fellows spend these 12 weeks, learning from mentors, growing in their small groups called Pods, listening to inspirational speakers, and coding at hackathons. Apart from supporting diversity and inclusion through the Fellowship, .Tech Domains continues to promote equality through the Best Equal Access to CS Education Hack prize at Major League Hacking hackathons as well as sponsoring a week-long challenge at INIT.

Out of 219 countries, 73% are either only piloting Computer Science in school or doing nothing at all. In the US alone, only 31% of total students that took the AP Computer Science exam in 2020 were women and only 22% of students came from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups.

.Tech Domains is working hard to diversify the next generation of leaders through the MLH Fellowship. As Mike Swift, CEO and Co-Founder of MLH would say, “Talent is globally distributed, opportunity is not.” With that in mind, .Tech Domains and MLH are helping to change the face of the tech industry by providing globally accessible opportunities and resources.

Applications are now open for Fall 2021 cohorts and we hope to see your application soon! You can learn more about the MLH Fellowship here. Not quite ready? MLH also has a Pre-Fellowship program to get you ready for the next step. Apply now!
